Two Arrested For Bloomfield Vehicle Burglaries

Two Hudson County men have been charged in a series of burglaries to vehicles in Bloomfield Monday, police said.

Dashawn Bowens, 22, of Jersey City, and 28-year-old Bayonne resident Willie Martin were arrested Thursday and Friday for the burglaries, which occurred on Berkeley Avenue, Baldwin Place, Morton Street and Orchard Street.

Surveillance video helped detectives identify the two suspects, police said.

Bowens and Martin were charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary and theft. Martin, who was arrested in Hudson County Tuesday for a similar offense, was also charged with unlawful use of credit cards.
